Nepal took the lead at the 10th minute of the first half with the help of Bimal gharti Magar but the celebration couldn’t last 1 minute as the Bhutan levels the score in 11th minute. Sonam Togbya made a consolation goal for Bhutan.
Brilliant effort from Bimal gharti magar made Nepal to double the score line in 29th minute. Bimal then became the first player to spot the hat-trik in the u-19 SAFF championship at 62nd minute.
Nepal secure their first win by 3-1 in the first edition of under-19 SAFF championship.
