SSP Sarbendra Khanal, chief of Metropolitan Crime Division, Teku, has stated that a police team from the division had opened shots at Ghaite in self-defense when he and his members opened fire at the police team.Two of his allies, Surendra Maharjan and Raj Maharjan, were also injured in the shooting.
Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress leader Jagdish Narsingh KC has protest against his death. and claiming it as a pre-planned murder .It is believed that Ghaite was closely associated with Nepali Congress especially with NC’s General Secretary Arjun Narsingh KC and party leader Jagdish Narsingh KC.
