At least 12 protestors were injured after police opened fire in Surkhet district on Tuesday during the second day of protests .A protest emerged after the government`s decision to federate the country into six states which resulted the division of Mid-western region. The protester has a demand of a undivided Mid-West and Surkhet to be made its provincial Capital in the new federal set-up.
