Mt. Gox CEO arrested for loss of Bitcoin in Japan

Japanese police on Saturday arrested Mark Karpeles, chief executive officer of the failed Mt. Gox bitcoin exchange, over the loss of a massive amount of virtual online currency.
The Metropolitan Police Department suspects Karpeles, a Frenchman, accessed the computer system of the exchange to falsify data on its outstanding balance, investigative sources said.

In feburary 2014 the Tokyo-based Mt.Gox  bitcoin trading website was brankrupted as theft over online. A widely-shared document states that  the company might have lost more than 744,400 bit coins in a theft had gone unnoticed for years. The unnoticed bit coins would be more than $400 millions in value.
