Batting first, World XI captained by Sri Lankan legend Sanath Jayasuriya put 135 runs on the board losing all wickets in 19.4 overs. Australian opener MP Stoinis contributed 48 runs. Avinash Karn, Siddhant Lohani, Ramesh Pulami Magar and Sharad Vesawkar took two wickets each for Nepal.

Chasing the target of 136, Nepal were bowled out for 98 in 19.2 overs with none of the batsmen reaching 20 run mark. Malaysian Suresh Navaratnam dismissed three Nepali batsmen in the inning.
