2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo has been hit by a controversy over logo design.

The Japanese designer of the logo for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo has been hit by a controversy over his design's similarity to an emblem for a Belgian theater.
A lawyer for a Belgium-based graphic designer says his client will ask the International Olympic Committee and the Organizing Committee of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics not to use the Games' current logo. Olivier Debie, from Liege, eastern Belgium, states that "it closely resembles a logo he created for a theater in the city 2 years ago".
But Kenjiro Sano (The Japanese designer of the logo) said on Friday he had never seen the other logo, after the Belgian designer hinted at legal action.
The designer, Olivier Debie`s lawyer, Philippe Mottard has stated that " he has sent a cease-and-desist letter to the IOC and the Tokyo Organizing Committee" and added that  if the organizations fail to respond or suspend the use of the logo within 8 days, his clients will file a copyright infringement lawsuit with a Belgian court.
